LISNAVE – Miyawaki Forest

Lisnave took another step towards the carbon footprint reduction, planting a 50 sqm Miyawaki Forest, the first in Portugal.
The Miyawaki forest will grow in two to three years and it will become self-sustained after this period.
This forest in the shipyard industrial environment has the mission of reducing the carbon footprint, capturing carbon and releasing oxygen from CO2, improving air quality and creating a shadow island for temperature control in the surroundings.

A total of 23 native species (150 units) were planted, involving the company’s employees, bringing an environmental awareness to the community.
