German Parliament Representatives Visit Lisnave
On
last 31st October, the Commission of Labor and Social Affairs of the
German
Parliament headed by its President Mr. Gerald Weib, came to Lisnave in
Setúbal with the purpose to see “in loco” the actual reality of the
Company, with special attention to the Training Plan that is presently
in course.
In
fact, the Plan of Refreshment deserved special attention and interest to
the German Deputies, therefore the Training School was carefully
visited, not only at the various room where there theory lessons, but
also to the training shops where the practical lessons of several
specific works connected to ship repair activity took place.
As it
was explained to the visitors, when Lisnave accomplishes this ambitious
Training Plan for youngsters, which started in the early 2006, and in
which there were the involvement of more than 200 youngsters that were
looking for the first job in the area of Setúbal, with an investment of
Six million Euros, it will became an unique example in the shiprepair
activity European scenario.
Also
the training actions with a medium time schedule of 1800 hours were
analyzed, as they are designated
to prepare the students by giving them a deep knowledge of several
professional skills that are vital for productivity in the future, at
the same time that provides them with privileged job conditions.
Due
to the increasing number of German Clients that presently look for docks
availability at Lisnave to do their maintenance and repair works, it was
very rewarding to see the positive image that Lisnave got from the
German Deputies, as it prepares itself in present for the future.
