
Transpetro President in Lisnave
The Senator Sergio Machado, President of Transpetro,
the company that operates the Oil Fleet owned by Petrobras, together
with his Consultants, including the Director responsible for the
Technical fleet, visited Lisnave Shipyards.
During the visit, the Senator Sérgio Machado was
received by the Board Management of Lisnave in order to discuss a
possible co-operation between the two companies, namely to start again
with repair works of his fleet ships, that will be in a near future on
the North Atlantic. It was also addressed to Lisnave the invitation of
co-operation with Petrobrás and other major Brazilian groups on the
development of Ship Industry in the Southern Hemisphere.
Together with the Lisnave Management, the visitors made
a visit to the facilities, and made very positive considerations about
the Shipyard.
The visitors finished the yard tour with a visit to the
vessel “Nordic Spirit” managed by the company “TK”, but owed by
Transpetro. The vessel is suffering a very complex maintenance operation
in all the propulsion system, specially on the variable pitch propeller
and on the bow and aft thrusters and dynamic positioning (azimuthal)
thrusters.
BERGESSEN OFFSHORE
On March 28th , Lisnave received the visit of the
representative of the Norwegian company Bergessen Offshore. This company
has Oil Rigs and FPSO operating on the North Sea.
this visit had a Technical Audit character with the
purpose to check Lisnave’s capabilities to operate inthis market
segment.
The Audit had a positive conclusion therefore it can be
a new work opportunity for Lisnave.
After grounding in Venezuela " Kim Jacob " come to
LISNAVE

After decision of underwriters of the tanker "
Kim Jacob " had to be followed to invite 10 European yards to come
in with an offer for the repair of the bottom damage the Portuguese
yard LISNAVE was able to book the respective order on 1. March 2006
in Hamburg.
The vessel did arrive already one day later at the cleaning station
close to the yard at Setubal in order to remove the slop and to get
into gas free condition. One day later the vessel was shifted to the
shipyard.
For the renewal of about 400 tons of steel in the bottom area a
repair time of 34 days have been agreed between partners.
