Lisnave repaired 46 ships in the first half of the year
In the first half of this year, Lisnave contracted, for maintenance
and repair works, 46 ships, of which 28 are tankers.
The 46 ships repaired in the first semester of 2010 at the Mitrena
Yard came from 33 clients of 15 countries, with special reference to
Germany and Greece with eight vessels, Singapore with six and Japan
with four. From Cyprus, U.S.A., France and Italy three ships from
each were repaired.
The continuation of the reinforcement of “repeat business” which
illustrates the credibility and confidence relied on the Yard by a
large group of shipowners/managers. This period saw such repeat
business coming from important clients Unicom Management - Cyprus,
Sun Enterprises and European Product Carriers - Greece, Sanko Ship
Management - Japan and E.R. Schiffart and Chemikalien – Germany..
Other important repair projects came from AET Shipmanagement -
Singapore, Bostrom Tankers - France.
Having an accumulated and diversified know-how, Lisnave undertakes
work on all types of vessels. However, the activity of the yard
continues to focus on traditional market segments, with tankers
contributing significantly to the total activity with 28 repairs
carried out. It is important to note however the diversity of the
work also carried out on container and general cargo vessels, LPG
and Dedgers, among others.
