Business at Lisnave in the first nine months of 2010 with a slight decrease

Lisnave has reported a slight decrease of repair activity during the first nine months of 2009. A total of 82 vessels (92 in 2009) were contracted during this period for maintenance/repair works. Business volumes also showed a slight decrease, due to a reduction in work volume carried out on each vessel.

During the period, Mitrena Yard carried out repairs onboard of all types of vessels, including tankers, cruise vessels, dredgers, bulk carriers, containerships, LPG/LNG carriers and general cargo vessels. Of the 82 ships repaired, a total of 51 shipowners/managers from 20 countries were represented. German  owners/managers contracted 14 vessels with 13 from Singapore, 11 from Greece, 6 from Italy and Japan, 5 from Cyprus and 4 from Norway and France, were the principal countries represented.. This clearly illustrates Lisnave competitiveness in the global ship repair market.

Lisnave repeated business shows the credibility and confidence relied on Portuguese yard by a large group of shipowners/managers. In this period, Lisnave had repeat business from Singapore’s AET Shipmanagement, Cyprus’ Unicom Management,  Germany’s Chemikalen Seetransport , Greece’s Enterprises Shipping & Trading, Japan’s Sanko Ship Management  Co Ltd., Italia’s Navigazione Montanari Spa, Norway’s Bergshav Management A/S and Teekay Shipping.
